Flextronics Investing US$500 Million to Build Plant in India
July 29, 2005
Flextronics has plans to allocate US$500 million to construct what may evolve into one of its largest facilities. With the ambition to start up an industry cluster, the electronics major is in the process of searching for a large campus in South India, where there will be enough space for its brand-name customer to set up production sites in the vicinity of their factory. The new plant will be used to manufacture mobile phones, electronics infrastructure products, as well as set-top boxes.
